My name is Juan Rodriguez. I love people and tell their stories. My vision about wedding videos is cooked slowly, a new concept where the bride and the groom are not only reference models, but instead, I drive the story with empathy and total attention to details in how they face the day.
Each person has a way to see the facts that happen, and that’s what makes us different.
How did you get into the wedding industry?
I’ve been documenting weddings for 15 years, at the beginning I combined advertising, documentaries and corporatize videos with my weddings. But some time ago, y decided I was gonna focus all my effort and soul to one porpouse only: give an unique view to wedding videography, with a strong documentary character, working intensely on emotions and real moments.
Tell us about one of your best experiences at work?
Mostly traveling. Meet other cultures, to get to know other ways of doing things. There’s one experience that’s special for me, we travelled to Houston for an Indian wedding, we saw other traditions we where not used to. See yourself immerse and making part of them is really gratifying.
What equipment do you use?
Panasonic Lumix GH5
What's your favorite part of the wedding day? Why?
Any advice for Brides and Grooms?
Maybe it’s obvious, but what’s important for me its that the bride and groom are themselves, that they don’t worry about been filmed and that they enjoy the day as the party it is with all their beloved ones.
Any personal advice for fellow Photographers & Videographers?
Be natural flexible and let things happen. Because things happen naturally.
