About
We are a quirky, sometimes dorky, but often adventurous couple living in Germany who absolutely love photographing & filming weddings. We are definitely the social type, and sharing our stories and listening to others is really what gets us going. We put a huge emphasis on giving our couples the best of our best and believe wholeheartedly that every one, no matter who, has a story and deserves to have their love forever preserved. Oh, and we're also doggo parents to the cutest Boston terrier <3
How did you get into the wedding industry?
Our story is likely a cliché here, as it all started when a some friends asked us to photograph their wedding. Shayne has always been a photographer while Melli was a passionate hobbyist. We photographed our first wedding together and realised that we had such a good time not only shooting it, but working as a team. We dug deeper into the industry and decided then and there that this is something we'd love to pursue; and so we have.
Tell us about one of your best experiences at work?
It's really hard to pin point exactly one best moment - as we often find with each wedding there are moments that make us laugh, that makes cry, that makes us smile and genuinely feel so darn good about what we are doing. Probably one of our most favourite experiences we've had was travelling to Tanzania to capture & film the elopement of an incredible couple right in the Safari parks! We were SO lucky with everything and we think back to those days with such high feelings.

What equipment do you use?
3 x Canon 5D mark IV's
1 x Canon 5D mark III (Backup)
2 x Canon Flashes (600ex-rt) + Gary fong diffusers
100mm Macro, 35mm, 50mm & an 85mm lens
Zhiyun Crane 2 stabilizer
Monopod
Rode Video Mic + lavs
A million batteries and cards
What's your favorite part of the wedding day? Why?
Definitely the couple shoot. It's not only the time where we play a larger role in the day, but it's the first time that the couple gets to be alone since marrying each other. There is always this sense of calm and just appreciation of each other. We love to be creative with our couples and to see them having such a good time.
Favorite Book
Don't hate us - but we both don't read books so often. Movies, hell yeah! Series, definitely! Books - not so much. Favourite movies - well, we both have kinda different tastes (which keeps it fun!) but one movie we both really really liked was "Captain Fantastic".

Any advice for Brides and Grooms?
Focus this day around yourselves and as much as you can, try not to let any one else influence how your day should be. Nothing is too crazy and with the right mind - anything is possible. This day is yours and so don't feel compelled to wed in a church if you are not religious, or invite every person you know because you think they'll hold it against you if not. Enjoy this day as much as you can - it goes by fast; and make sure you absolutely love your vendors. Don't be afraid to ask your vendors for help and even for recommendations.
Any personal advice for fellow Photographers & Videographers?
This is wild industry and it's easy to get caught up comparing yourselves to other people. Don't worry about that. Everyone starts somewhere and so long as you have a determination to learn, to grow and to try new things - you definitely have a path to explore. Be true to yourselves and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. Definitely connect with other photographers / videographers - especially in person. Having friends in the industry is one of the best things you can do.
