Hi, i am Lars

My photographic roots are in beauty and fashion photography. But my heart has always been in storytelling wedding photography.

I love those special moments and the feelings between bride and groom. I do not just shoot a wedding - I try to capture creative and meaningful wedding photos that bring bridal couples back to their emotions of their wedding day, even years later. I do not just photographically determine what it looks like, but what it feels like. Around the world.

How did you get into the wedding industry?

I'm actually from the beauty and fashion photography. But what I always missed was the unadulterated, the unforeseen. After my first wedding, it has also grabbed me. The emotions and working with people like YOU and ME have not let go of me until today.

It's just wonderful to be there from the first conversation to the handover of the pictures. And the first sparkle in the eyes when the couple take a first look the the pictures in their hands are irreplaceable. That's why I always hand over my photographs personally. Personality and authenticity are very important to me in my work.

Tell us about one of your best experiences at work?

The wonderful and my motivation for wedding photography is that every wedding produces many wonderful and unique situations. Be it the mishaps of that day, the emotions or simply the atmosphere on such a day - every wedding is unique and that is exactly my way to catch the moments.

For one of my funniest moments, I was involuntarily responsibleby myself; in the wait for the best moments, I took a step backwards and stood in the middle of a fountain. This, of course, resulted in complete laughter in the wedding party.

What equipment do you use?

For my work at the storytelling, i use a Canon 5D Mark IV, a Canon EOS R and a Sony A7III with different lenses.
Usually i use my Canon EF 70-200 2.8 IS III on my Canon 5D Mark IV or EOS R. On the Sony i usually use the Sony 24-70 2.8 G Master. For the shooting of bride and groom i usually use a Canon 50mm 1.2 L USM, the Canon 85mm 1.2 L II USM and also the tele.

Any advice for Brides and Grooms?

When i will be booked, all couples receive a booklet from me with many tips for wedding planning and shooting. But probably the most important piece of advice is the following:

Dear wedding couple, you get married and decide to live together. This is probably one of the special days you will experience in your life. This day is yours - yours alone. Decides nothing to meet others. Only what you want is the right one. What you want and wish ist what you should do. This refers to the wedding dress, the suit, the food, the location and your party. The festival is a party only for you alone and you do not have to orientate yourself to the demands and wishes of others.

Any personal advice for fellow Photographers & Videographers?

When I see the one or the other photographer / videographer, how they really do everything for a good picture, I get sad. A good photographer is one who is hardly noticed. It is a special day for the wedding couple and you should not disturb the special situations for anything in the world.
