Hi, my name is Lena. I was born in 80’s Poland. I’m a wedding photographer. Since 2014 I live in Scotland. I love white coffee, strong tea, tattoos, lazy mornings, and travels. Who am I... It’s a long story. When I was a child, I heard that it’s good to find a well-paid job, that all I should focus on studies. I passed all of my exams, but something was missing. Photography was only a passion then, but it fully became my job in 2008. That's when I found the balance in life.
How did you get into the wedding industry?
Aa art is part of me. I need to be creative to live. I need to express myself every day, in every area! That’s why I was singing at wedding ceremonies when I was 17, then in wedding band in my 20s... I love weddings and I kinda stuck to them, can't imagine myself working in any other industry,
Tell us about one of your best experiences at work?
Every couple has a story, different energy... There are moments at every wedding. If you fully experience the atmosphere and love around you, you will find something in every single wedding even in 10 years. I'm not shooting for views, my portfolio, nice venues or spectacular light. I do it for people and their moments. So I can't tell you about one and only 'the best experience', because the best is the moment when I cry with the couple.
What equipment do you use?
Canon EOS 6d mk II + Canon EOS 6d
lenses: Sigma ART 50mm 1.4 and Canon 24mm 1.4
that's my most used ones however I have a few more lenses just in case... I think I should sell them ;)
Martyna Wojciechowska 'Przesunac Horyzont' ...sorry it's only in Polish, but it's a cool real story about polish model-presenter-driver who reached the top of Mount Everest after having her back broken in a car crash... Nothing is impossible.
'stay wild young and free'
