We believe Re-living the most beautiful moments is as precious as living those moments. We at Happy Flashbacks take it one love story at a time. We believe in capturing every detail, everything that makes the couple unique. We create memories, and ensure that the couple relives their happy moments over and over again. We are a husband-wife team of filmmakers who believe in capturing the the real emotions and the true essence of the couple and binding them beautifully to create a story.
How did you get into the wedding industry?
It wasn’t a planned or calculated decision. The idea resonated with us as we wanted to take on a new creative challenge at the time. A photographer friend of ours, who was in the field of journalism, knew people who were into wedding filmmaking and suggested that it was a lucrative field that we could explore. It stuck with us and one morning we came up with the name ‘Happy Flashbacks’ over Tea. We were excited by the name and the fact that this venture had the potential to satisfy both the creative and business aspects of our interests.
Tell us about one of your best experiences at work?
We have been fortunate to have a great connection with most of our couples. That makes the experience unforgettable each time.
However, if we have to pick one, that would be the prewedding we filmed at the divine Varanasi Ghats, in India.
What equipment do you use?
Sony A7S2 & A73 with Sony and Ziess lenses.
DJI Mavic Pro
What's your favorite part of the wedding day? Why?
Indian Weddings are action packed. There are never ending rituals and each one of them is crucial to the family.
There are a number of rituals that are exciting to document. But the one that's our most favourite is the Haldi ceremony where the family and friends put Haldi (a yellow paste which is considered auspicious ). Its a fun ceremony:)
As filmmakers, We both enjoy capturing the genuine moments at weddings exactly how it’s happening. However, as much as we enjoy filming it, it is the editing of the film that makes the entire wedding process delightful, hence we say ‘Happy Flashbacks’.
Any advice for Brides and Grooms?
When hiring a filmmaker and photographer to document your wedding, always look for the kind of connection that you have with them. It's important to be absolutely comfortable with them around while they film the most important event of your life.
Any personal advice for fellow Photographers & Videographers?
My only advice is not get carried away by the Instagram pictures and films of your fellow photographers and videographers. Just try to be unique in your own way.
