About

I'm an intimate wedding and adventure elopement photographer based in Alberta, Canada.

How did you get into the wedding industry?

I mostly photographed landscapes when I started out, but slowly started photographing people. I really enjoyed photographing couples in love. One day I was asked to photograph my cousins wedding, and was hooked from that day on!

Tell us about one of your best experiences at work?

One of my favourite experiences so far was during a small intimate wedding in a lodge the backcountry of Alberta. The couple had invited only their close friends and family. We were surrounded by nature all day and got treated to an amazing display down in the valley, where a grizzly, as well as two wolves later on, were eating from a moose carcass. It's so great when I can photograph these important moments for couples and enjoy the outdoors at the same time!

What equipment do you use?

All my equipment is from Nikon and I shoot with prime lenses.

What's your favorite part of the wedding day? Why?

Probably the time we have for couple portraits. A wedding can be so overwhelming and I think it's necessary for the couple to have a bit of time for just the two of them. To actually enjoy each others presence.

Any advice for Brides and Grooms?

It's your wedding day. Do whatever you want to do! Whether that's having an intimate wedding or just elope. Go on a hike, canoe to an island, go skiing, etc. Just make it a fun day that's all about you!

Any personal advice for fellow Photographers & Videographers?

Don't compare yourself to other photographers and to what's trendy in the photography world. Remember that it's all about creating memories for the couple!
