I am Dimitris Haidis and I like to tell stories and share experiences through my wedding films. I am based in Athens but I am always on the road, ready for the next challenge ahead. I love to portrait people with character, couples with passion, weddings with emotional background. If you see your wedding day as a journey, I am here to add some even more vivid colors and to “season” it with a few natural, cinematic, “handcrafted” elements.
How did you get into the wedding industry?
After my filmmaking, direction and video editing studies, my first television
productions at 2004 and shootings for various media and advertising companies, I
decided to follow my instinct. At 2016, I decided to combine everything that made
me get out of bed every day into a well- designed project that would keep me active,
observant and on an evolving mode.
Tell us about one of your best experiences at work?
My best moment is when I receive keen reviews from the couples and I can feel the
excitement, the surprise and the smiles on their faces.
What equipment do you use?
At the moment I use mainly Sony cameras: A7S, A7III, A6500 is the current model
lineup. I use a mixture of Sony E-mount lenses.
I also use DJI Fantom for aerial shots and the Zhiyun single gimbal, many type of
lavalier mics and recorders for sound.
What's your favorite part of the wedding day? Why?
My top moment is when the bride arrives at the church and I capture the emotions
in the face of the groom as well as the father of the bride. Also, I enjoy the most the
after wedding shooting with the couple, when usually everyone is more relaxed and
in the mood for party!
